How to get Piwik into a data visualisation tool -


i'm trying find way import piwik data more powerful built in reports. hoping import googles data studio asking database name , i'm not sure is.

has experience in getting data out of piwik , tableau/google data studio/please suggest other tool?

if have executed default installation, name should 'piwik'. if want connect directly tableau need know if you're running piwik on mysql or mariadb.

about data analysis, in experience, having used tableau , pidgin, recommend put data in intermediary database etl process don't consider piwik database structure optimal bi analysis.

ps: before trying create custom reports or etls, check piwik version in case you've not migrated latest one, 2.x 3.x changed database bit (e.g. custom dimensions)
